Aktor participated in the Greek Business Awards for the Environment between 2005 and 2009. These prestigious awards were held in Greece and were part of the European Business Awards for the Environment, held in all member states of the European Union respectively. Since 1987, these awards constitute a ‘European institution’, aimed at recognising and enhancing good corporate environmental practices, as well as raising business awareness of environmental issues.
In the context of three competitions held in 2005, 2007 and 2009, AKTOR presented an Integrated Sustainable Development Strategy, receiving the second prize in 2005 and 2007, while in 2009, AKTOR received the First Prize for environmental management implemented in construction, as well as the First Special Award for “Sustainable Construction”, for the execution of the Imittos Western Peripheral Motorway project in Athens.
With this documentation, AKTOR has the privilege of being the most environmentally friendly construction company in Greece.
